Detailed version of the 1903 Springfield Rifle with solid one-piece wood stock, painted steel barrel and silver plated metal parts. This is a tough toy and it's not going to break with strong thrusts of the bolt. Excellent quality, well made, we guarantee it. The gun stock is a solid piece of wood. The gun is 29.5" long. It has an operational bolt and a clicker trigger with an adjustable breakaway sling.  Orange tipped. The original Springfield was designed in 1901 with a barrel 30 inches long.  This conformed to the standard practice of the period, having two distinct shoulder lengths.  The major weapon was the rifle, used by infantry; the minor weapon was the carbine, used by cavalry.
