Vintage Old handmade antique Stuffed Animals From 1940s

I got these from an estate sale because they looked very good on my bookshelf and they made me smile. But I redecorate alot and sell everything off every few years. I was told they were made during world War 2 for a pair of newly born twin sisters. I liked that story, but there is no way to really verify it! They are about 10" to 11" in size, they don't stand up on their own. And they are old.
