This is a vintage Kid Connection Chopper Patrol play set. I put batteries in it and was able to get the blades to spin, but it did not fly as the blades were askew and I wasn't sure how one of the flight cables needed to be attached. The blades are bent and should have a round, plastic ring around them, which has worn off over the years. There are wires that run from the control pad, through a plastic conduit to the center, rotating housing. The plastic housing will need to be replaced as it is permanently warped. The original box is shorter than the actual (flat) length of the helicopter and control pad (poor design). To fit in the box, the plastic conduit needs to curved up. Hence the permanent hump in it now. The conduit is also split on one side where it meets the base, but the wires within the conduit are intact. There is minimal corrosion in the battery compartment, but one of the wires detached from a contact point and needs resoldering. The unit erratically spins with only 2 of the 4 batteries now. The plastic accessories are all present, including the hook that attaches under the helicopter. Only a part of one of the cardboard hills remains as far as cardboard structure shown on the box. The box itself has dings/scuffs consistent with age along with a crease on one side and a small hole/tear on the other side. There is no manual. The plastic mat is present and in great shape. The plastic parts are also all in good, clean shape given their age. The device has potential for restoration, but that's outside my skill set. Hence I am selling the set as parts. I have tried to give as complete and fair description as I can. I have also included lots of pictures. What you see is what you'll get. The set is being sold as-is. Feel free to ask questions if additional information or pictures are needed. Thanks for looking!
