This is one of the many war game play sets that was advertised in the comic books. These games were sold via mail-order ads and most were sold by a small company that called itself "Helen Of Toy Co." located in Commack, NY. I believe they produced 10 play set games that proved to be popular through the comic ads. The games were offered as early as 1957 and continued to be shown in the comic ads till the early 1980's.
