Engine has an on/off switch (twist the bell in front of the engine cab), and will not run if it is not turned on. (Which is a nice battery saving feature.) Engine works with all Eztec 27.145 remotes WITHOUT an antenna. Runs on any G Gauge all plastic track - Please see 2nd picture. Engine is 15 inches long and 5-1/2 inches tall and is p owered by 4 C batteries (not included) that go in the cab of the Engine.
Purchase a caboose too for only $11 more and no additional shipping charges. Just select the "With Caboose" option. The remote requires one 9 Volt battery (not included) and operates at 27.145 Mhz. Ships bulk packed with no original packaging.
