Offered for sale is a used, vintage Processed Plastics 1:16th Scale Ford 8600 Industrial Tractor. It is made of hard industrial yellow plastic. This vintage Ford 8600 tractor is used and has been played with lightly. It is in excellent condition, missing the decals. Please look carefully at the pictures for additional details concerning condition. I sell all items as is. The actual 123 horsepower tractor was produced by Ford from 1972 to 1976 at the Highland Park, Michigan factory. Processed Plastic was founded in February, 1948 by Ross Bergman, Richard Simms, and Roy Raymond. The first location was 500 Rathbone Ave. in Aurora. Over the years, the product line was expanded to larger trucks, racing cars, tanks, and rockets—all a niche market sold directly, primarily to Woolworth and Kresges. The growth in the business necessitated a major capital expansion which was concluded in 1961 with a modern 20,000 square foot factory along Aucott Road in Montgomery. Processed Plastics finally succumbed to Chinese competition and closed its doors in 2005.
