Douglas Co. has made the highest valued/sold plush toys in the history of Disney. With enormous size, quality materials, and an inimitable signature style when it comes to the design of their products - there's a reason why their stuffed animals sell for thousands. Well - there's a few more reasons why they fetch the prices that they have. Douglas Co. & Disney both have no official records on the amount that were actually produced - and there's a small amount that have surfaced for sale since they were initially released.
As for Hercules' Pegasus in particular - what's mesmeric to any collector - is that there's only been one recorded post on the internet (nobody knows if it was even sold). What's even more baffling is that there isn't a single shred of evidence that there's any additional in circulation (or in the tunnels under Disneyland for that matter). It's leading collectors to wonder if Douglas Co. ended production and discontinued the launch of this product.
