Here we have a super nice 1950's Buddy L Hydraulic Tandem Dump or Construction Truck in very nice and working condition.
This hard to find truck is approximately 21" long, and features a working hydraulic cylinder which raises the bed when released. Stickers on the doors say "Buddy L Deluxe HYDRAULIC". The cab and chassis are red with a beige dump bed, and silver colored wheels. CONDITION:
Excellent for truck this age. SEE THE PICS! There is some mild corrosion where it has some scratches or scrapes. The paint appears to be original. We picked it up at an estate sale, so we do not know it's history. I don't see overspray or brush marks to indicate a restoration. Wheels spin freely. The bed kind of pops up quickly when released to a 'mostly raised' position and slowly finishes raising. The cylinder still has plenty of power... maybe even too much.
It was very dirty and greasy when we picked it up.... I did only a basic clean to get it to the shape you see.... it could use a more detailed clean.
The graphics on the side look good, but the stickers are cracked and aged. Again... see the pics. I did find the same stickers for sale on eBay if you want to spruce it up a bit... but really... it looks fantastic as it is. I think a vintage toy should look it's age.... well loved and well played with! SHIPPING:
