1966 MARX The MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Original THRUSH AGENT #2 Hand-Painted 6" BLUE Figure In 1966 Louis Marx & Co. produced the Man From U.N.C.L.E. series of 6" plastic figures based on the 1964-1968 NBC TV series "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." starring Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo, David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin and Leo G. Carroll as Alexander Waverly, the head of the U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law Enforcement) secret New York office. U.N.C.L.E. was most often involved with assignments fighting the evil organization, THRUSH (Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity). The Marx 6" figure series included Illya Kuryakin, Napoleon Solo, Alexander Waverly, three T.H.R.U.S.H. Agents and six generic Spy Agents. The Illya and Napoleon plastic figures were the only ones molded in both gray and blue plastic. The gray ones were sold individually and the blue ones were sold individually as well as included in the Sears And Roebuck Exclusive MARX The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Target Game. The other ten figures were sold individually as well and also included in the above mentioned U.N.C.L.E. Target Game and I believe the TRUSH Agents were only molded in blue and the Generic Spy Agents were molded in both blue and brown. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. THRUSH Agent No. 2 plastic figure is © MCMLXVI M.G.M. Inc. and was manufactured by Louis Marx & Co. This soft poly-plastic figure measures approximately 6" tall, is molded in blue and is stamped with THRUSH AGENT NO. 2 and the U.N.C.L.E. logo on the bottom of the base. This original vintage Marx Man From U.N.C.L.E. figure is in excellent condition and has NO broken or missing pieces, melt marks or chew marks. It has been hand-painted but some paint has chipped away in spots. NOTE: If you do not prefer this figure to be painted it can easily be stripped to its original gray color.
