This was a top of the line toy in 1969 and expensive. It sold for $13.99 which back then was a lot of money. The game has single shot or rapid fire gun settings. It is made of high impact plastic and works on 4 "D" batteries. There are targets inside that include a Lion's head, a bobble-head clown, revolving ducks, and knock-over targets. There are holes in the backdrop which you can ring a bell and hit a top spinner. The game is in great condition. It has a battery compartment that has some residue in it but for the most part it is pretty clean. The legs are in great condition with no cracks. There are some scuffs in a few places on the clear plastic. It still features the original yellow paper instructions mounted to the toy, which are frequently missing in other sets. The box features the original postage label from Marx (granted its covered in crayon). All steel balls are present. I believe this is an earlier variant due to the more vintage hand-drawn art on the box. See photos. The wind up portion of the gallery works great, but unfortunately I could not get the gun to start running. Connections look good so it might just need grease, but I did not want to risk damaging the gun by delving deeper and leave that choice up to the next collector. Feel free to ask any questions.
