Offering this super rare plastic friction car, which is modeled after the large scale Lindberg motorized model kit of the GT-200. The futuristic bubble top concept GT-200 car is based on a Harry Bradley design. Harry Bradley was a designer for Mattel as well in the 1960s. This design was also called the SC-100 in a Lindberg reissue
motorized model kit and
an MPC slot car.
The license plate on this one actually reads GT200. It is a Hong Kong plastic piece called Moon Explorer and features an ejector seat mechanism that sends one of the astronauts flying out the open top, as well as opening hood/ canopy section. This is the only example I've seen of this car in the wild and certainly on this original unpunched rack card. The graphics are fantastic. Car is about 5" long. The card measures 9.75" x 4.75". The thin vacuform plastic holding it in does have some cracks but displays great. Beautiful car, beautiful simple toy and rare. You will look long and hard before finding another complete example like this
