"MARE'S LAIG" SQUIRT GUN TOY - 1950s Knickerbocker (No. Hollywood CALIF.). 15" x 6". Light tan & black molded plastic with metallic gold paint accents.
Detailed replica of Steve McQueen's famous sawed-off carbine from the TV western "Wanted: Dead or Alive" (1958 - 1961).
Although the toy design is obviously patterned after the Mare's Laig, there are no markings noting the CBS / Four Star TV series on this toy.
Black trigger & cocking lever action both work well.
Water reservoir hole is located at back of stock (original plug is still adhered). We have chosen not to apply water to insure good mechanical spring operation. Therefore, we do not know for certain whether it squirts properly (we are selling this item for display purposes only).
This uncommon water toy is loaded with eye appeal.
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Red water plug has a small upper chip. Moderate paint wear with no other cracks or breaks apparent.
Overall, we feel this item is in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
