An original 1950’s "BUDDY L" Texaco Gas Fuel / Oil Tanker Truck made with Pressed Steel. This is the Red Steel GMC 550-Series blunt-nose tractor and semi-trailer tank. Manufactured by Moline Pressed Steel Corp. of East Moline, Illinois. Union Made in U.S. of America. Note: 
the original Buddy L marked Tires and Original Texaco labels intact throughout on this Toy (Circa 1959)
I've seen these Buddy L Texaco Trucks listed as
GMC and Ford and also as Models 380 or 550
Fuel Tanker Trucks made during the 1950's
with circa 1959 as the most likely production year.

Item is missing the front grill. This Tanker is in nice original condition with paint and stickers intact. Shows age & wear - scratches, nicks, rust, discoloration, paint loss, etc... all wheels roll. Item has been photographed and was listed fresh from an Estate Sale 'garage find' in its "as-is-as-found" preservation (see photos for its current condition) We leave to buyer to decide if best to maintain it's unique 'aged' properties or attempt individual skill in dusting, cleaning, washing or restoring. Any cosmetic defects are consistent with this items age, use and or prior storage.
